FAQ's

When will my order arrive?

Our more sustainable fashion model means we only manufacture a product once an order has been placed. Therefore the time it takes for your order to arrive will take longer than many 'Fast Fashion' companies. This reliance on speed and bulk orders goes against everything we believe in.

If you are happy to wait a bit longer for your order knowing you are protecting our planet, then please scroll away. If not we are probably not for you!

For UK deliveries below are estimated delivery times.

Standard: 4-8 working days

If you would like further information please visit our Shipping Policy.

How do I return my order?

If your order arrives and is either damaged, has print issues, defective in any way, please drop us an email explaining this. Please include a photo/s showing the issue as well as a brief description. If it is confirmed as a defective product we shall ship you a brand new product as a replacement.

For further details please read our Returns policy.

Is cocomanta an eco-friendly brand?

Yes-cocomanta is an eco-friendly fashion brand who specialise in ocean inspired clothing designs that directly help protect and safeguard our oceans. All of our cotton products are made using 100% GOTS certified cotton, renewable energy and much, much more.

If you want to understand what makes us a more sustainable clothing brand, see our Eco and Oceans pages for further details.

What is Print On Demand?

Print on demand is the process of manufacturing a product in smaller batches only once an order has been placed. This relatively new model is considered a more sustainable way of fulfilment and the method we use for all our products. We take all this on board and go steps further.

If you want to know why our method is better for the planet, visit our Eco page for more details.

Which charities and organisations do we work with?

We donate 1% of every sale made to our chosen charity partner, 'Work For Good'. This money goes towards ocean conservation helping protect both ocean habitats and eco-systems.

We also contribute 50p per product sold to our ocean clean up partner 'Clean Hub'. This donation of just 50p for every t-shirt, hoodie or sweatshirt will remove 50 plastic bottles, stopping them from entering the world's oceans. Your purchases will directly help reduce human pollution.

If you want to understand more, visit our Oceans page for further details.

What is 'Remill' and how does it work?

Remill is a technology and service designed to keep good material in use and flowing. Some people use it as an example of circular economy design in action. Material is recovered and remanufactured into new products.

By creating new products from old ones, the loop is closed and waste is designed out.

All of our products are designed to be returned, recycled and re-made. When items wear out, customers scan a QR code on the label to send them back. In return, they get store credit to spend on the future purchase of a circular economy product.

cocomanta partnered with our fulfillment provider as we believe their system is the future of sustainable clothing manufacture. We don't receive these 'store credits' and you will be able to spend these in the approved stores. We really just like being able to support recycling within the fashion industry so happy to bypass these credits. Customers should scan the care label with their phone once their product is worn out. That will take them to a page that tells them the story that comes with the products and allows them to active the freepost recovery (UK only) - our print provider will take care of the rest.

How do we fulfill our orders?

We partnered with Teemill, the world's first open-access circular supply chain.

Creating a sustainable, circular supply chain for fashion starts with making products from natural materials like organic cotton, in factories powered by renewable energy. It also means creating products that are designed from the start to be sent back and remade into new ones once they’re worn out, keeping materials out of landfill and in the loop.

How are orders printed?

We print on demand, which means products are printed only once an order has been placed. This means we can cut down overproduction and waste and only make what people need when they need it.

When an order is placed, it is automatically routed to the factory closest to the customer. This saves transport costs, lowers emissions and saves time, as well. Products are stored in pickfaces so staff members always know where to find them. The entire system is automated, so the team member will see a number signifying a location, where they can find the product they need for an order. They take it and place it in one of these totes, and then place it on the gravity-fed rails that run across the entire factory.

Most of our products are printed using Direct-to-garment (DTG) methods. For this process, once a product has come through to the printing stations, it is pre-treated to ensure the longevity of the print. Then it’s placed individually on a printer and printed in under 90 seconds.

Inks are mixed in real time so there’s no waste. We use water-based, GOTS and Oeko-Tex certified inks in the printers. This means we can remove the print from the product at the end of its use, to retain more of the valuable material, and eliminate the waste and pollution that would be created by other types of dyes.

So we are able to feed more of the valuable materials back into the system. We actually had to synthesise a new chemical, that you can see in those tubs, to make sure we could have an organic, water-based ink that was compatible with our printers and the Remill process. It’s more malleable than the synthetics polymers most brands use, it’s basically just pigment in water.
